Architecture:

It is quite famous for its fabulous architecture. It has been tried here to preserve the look of the many historic neighborhoods. Many places in this city are worth seeing and praising due to its amazing architecture and beauty. It is said that the contemporary architecture of Madrid speaks loudly about its fineness. Under the period of 16th and the 17th century, the construction of different buildings like Puente de Segovia, Casa de la Villa, and the Plaza Mayor was done. These places are undoubtedly famous for its interesting architecture.

In the 18th and 19th century, Italian and French architecture greatly influenced the Madrid architecture under the dynasty of Bourbon. Pedro de Ribera’s Hospice that is now known as the Municipal museum is a true example of this influence. When we talk about its architectural history, we find that the role of King Charles III was quite decisive in it. Actually Charles had an idea that this city was quite far in architecture from the other European Capitals so he decided to raise the status of this city by encouraging the need of the modern architecture. And he started to pay a great attention toward the architectural needs of this city.
